Cherry Tree Walk Memorial
After the committee meeting in the Belair Park today, we did a bit of an explore and found an area that we had previously overlooked.
The original cherry trees were planted in 1922 as a Memorial to World War 1 diggers who did not return. Remnants still survive, and we’ll go back in a few weeks and see if any are still alive enough to flower.
