Husky

I am very proud to introduce our (older) sister the 'Husky'. If you're not a tug lover yet, you will be one now after you have another good look at this picture. A tug like a tug should be. Strong, built as a tug, and not as a supply boat/anchor handler. She is thirty years old now and still going strong. Well maintained and painted, see the beautiful orange funnels in combination with her brilliant white superstructure and ink-black hull. It is not only the colors; the Husky has also a very impressive reputation. Worked on the North Sea for the major part of her career under the harshest conditions you can imagine of. Considered as an old and experienced dame, but beware; her steel is still steel, and her power is still the same as new built conditions. I am sure that at least one retired Husky captain will see this picture with tears in his eyes. On this picture you see her after she took over the tow wire from us and connecting it to a pre-laid anchor pattern. The vessel in tow is the heavy lift vessel 'Black Marlin', loaded with the next two modules to be lifted off by the Thialf. To be continued.
