first flower

in an effort to soften the look of John's huge woodworking shed a bit, last year I had a planter built along the side and planted a honeysuckle and a clematis, among other things. I thought the clematis had died, but it revived in the spring, and just as I was dashing out this morning - I saw the first bloom!! so clicked off a few shots, and here she is!! I think she is feminine, a lovely feminine colour anyway. can't remember the variety and it is far too wet to run out to my shed to check the label.

another typical summer day, but at least a good excuse to sit and watch the olympics on TV.
