Sports Day

One of my least favourite days on the school calendar. The final time I will ever have to attend both KS1 AND KS2 sports days - so next year it will no doubt be a whole school thing again.

Smallest had a successful time - his team won the obstacle relay, he won his sack race, was disqualified from the egg and spoon race, chose to sit out the three-legged race and came second in the sprint. He was delighted.

Princess laughed her way through the 3-legged race until moments after I took the photo. Unfortunately she badly sprained her ankle - only no one realised. She sat out the rest and after 30minutes of watching her sit on the grass crying occasionally, MrRoly and I left to pack for our Cambridge trip.

Once we had collected them, we realised the damage to her ankle so spent almost 2 hours at Minor Injuries waiting for X Ray results. Good news! Bad sprain but nothing obviously broken. Princess gutted not to have crutches!

We made it to Cambridge eventually - no traffic except getting onto the A30 after Truro - but there wouldn't be due to leaving at almost 6...
