Blue-eyed Hawk

This young hawk is probably a Cooper's but the blue eyes really threw me.  I looked at a lot of pictures of juveniles and they all had yellow eyes.  Then I found an article (I can't remember where) that said young hawks sometimes take a while to grow into their eye color.  I ran out of of research time, so here s/he is with my best guess on the ID.  As always, I will welcome any help with this. :-)

Thank you for all the prayers and good wishes for my sister-in-law, they are all very much appreciated.  There was still not much change as of this morning but I'm waiting for a report this afternoon.
