Fennel

Raindrops on fennel doesn't have quite the same poetic charm as on roses, but they do look pretty and there were certainly a lot of them in the garden this morning!

A busy start, taking J to the airport as she's off to Glyndebourne, collecting Scratch and her belongings, to town for a haircut and then the opticians.  

As I suspected I did need a new prescription.  As anyone who wears glasses will know, choosing frames is hard work as you can't see what they look like properly without your own glasses on!  It's okay if they are just for reading, cheap and almost disposable ones, but ones which you will wear every day, all the time for the next two years or so at a cost of several hundred pounds, need serious consideration.  Hope I chose wisely!  They should be home in the next week, so not long to wait.  In the meantime we have Scratch to keep us company!
