This is an almost abstract portrait of a tiny hoverfly.  The gossamer wings are showing rainbow colours in their blurry speed as they refract the strong  sunlight.

It is very hot today and there is little about.  My buddleia is in full bloom in the garden but it is not covered in butterflies this year at what should be about the best time for them.  I do hope they can recover.
