The Dilemma

Do I take a special picture to mark another Blipday - six years worth of images - or do I simply post the image of the day, just like any other? Both approaches in their different ways seem fitting for the world of Blipfoto. Since last year (and a day out because of the Leap Year) Blipfoto has changed as we, the blippers, managed to raise the funds necessary to buy out the previous owners and set up a CIC - Community Interest Company - something of a halfway house between a company and a charity. And actually the second one I have some involvement with now that we have set up a CIC for Art Walk Porty and I am one of the directors.
Maybe I'll just look back on the past year and pick out a few favourite images...

One feature of the year has been Sunday night Mahjong at The Skylark.
In August I met up with an old schoolfriend.
And I took a blip that ended up in The Guardian.
In September I remembered a footballing hero.
And the chimneys came down.
In October it was Dad's birthday.
And we saw an Angel.
In November we ran a book shop for a week.
In December I photographed some art.
January started on the beach.
And saw my 2000th blip superseded by events.
As well as a fabulous photoshoot with my friend R.
In the early part of the year, The Artist's Way featured prominently.
I was feeling thoughtful on top of Arthur's Seat.
And we took a break in Ullapool.
In April we celebrated 21 years since our first date.
And the local MSP-to-be photobombed the First Minister on the High Street.
In May was the second TEDx Portobello.
And Hibs won the cup!
My blip of the solstice strawberry moon seemed popular.
Although not as many views as the birthday blip from The Skylark.
Seems like it's been a busy year!
