Making Hay While The Sun Shines

Our hottest day of the summer with the thermometer around the 30C mark - here is my brother arriving in a cloud of dust with a cluster of large hay bales looking like a kebab. How different it is from the days when we loaded small bales onto a trailer then built them in the shed - very labour intensive and hard on the fingers. Now he can do the whole job himself in a fraction of the time.

He stopped for a brief chat and when I said he must be very hot he pointed to the air conditioned cab - no problem steering either with these heavy bales on the front when you have power steering!
