The promised for heat and sunshine arrived.

Luckily for me, my boss texted me (albeit at midnight while I was sleeping) to say not to come in until later as the kids are all still really jet lagged - so after doing a few chores, I jumped in the car and headed over to Lauriston Castle. Reading, picnic, dozing, a walk round the grounds and then off to work.

Most of my working day was spent in Sainsbury's.
