Baltic cruise (Day 1 – Embark)

Flew down to Southampton this morning; we’re now on holiday, and this is our ‘home’ for the next 12 nights.

Dad’s come with us – he’s always wanted to see Saint Petersburg, so when he heard we were booking this he decided to come too. How great to be fulfilling a lifetime dream in your eighties!

(Likely to have limited time online, so won’t have the luxury of looking at or commenting on blips until we’re home).

This was the view from the ship as she left Southampton Water, coming into the Solent heading for the English Channel. The Isle of Wight is straight ahead.
