Quick pic of Ringlet

August 1st found us taking our monthly Cannock Chase photographs. It was very quiet, and we had a lovely walk. I had to snatch this photograph of the ringlet butterfly on ragwort. Angled my camera to get the whole butterfly.

We also saw a nuthatch very close up. It was so shocked when he saw us that he was just about to flutter way when I grabbed the shot.

I wonder what September will bring.
