'mates burilades'
Well, that's what they call this work in Peru, which is where we bought it a few years ago now. It's a dried out gourd shell etched with scenes of everyday life. It even has some seeds inside, so can be used as a shaker - something I haven't alerted the grandchildren to as yet. It's quite beautiful and enchanting in its detail.
Strange how something can just be there on a shelf for a long, long time without being noticed and then suddenly one day you really see it, as if for the first time. Mind you, if I dusted more often this would perhaps not be the case!
Raining today, so thank goodness oh dear I couldn't blip another flower.
