Is this edible?

Alice has found a huge mushroom and is checking it out with a couple of local monks to see if it's edible. That'd be a big NO!

We visited China's first National Park today, Potatso. It's a beautiful place up in the mountains, lying at 3,500-5,000 metres. It was a strange experience though; there's a regimented one-way system and the thousands of tourists are bussed through the park except for two boardwalk trails that you walk to get to the next bus stop. So it's like walking along a crowded city street but with fantastic scenery! Apparently this is typical of China's tourist management.

We weren't really feeling too hot this evening but when we came across a local square where lots of folk were having a great time with some communal Tibetan dancing it fair cheered us up. And we had a couple of bowls of dumplings in a street cafe which rounded things off nicely.
