Home again

It was lovely to wake up in my own bed this morning. It’s fun to go away but good to get back to home, Internet, Blip and the garden!
The garden had fared well during my ten days away and the lovage had grown to 2 meters.  Most of the leaves are brownish and not looking good but the flowers were doing fine and were full of bees, bumble bees, and other assorted insects.
Nearby the ornamental thistles (extra) were likewise attracting a lot of bees.
I've been away from Blip for 10 days so over the next few days I'll add the day's photo plus one or two backblips until I've caught up.  Today it is the turn of the 10 and 11 July, showing contrasting weather.
