St Swithuns's Day
Our anniversary - 44 years.
Walking 44 miles. By the time we returned to Mevagissey 44 miles over three days were in the bag. Evening meal at The Salamander. Lovely table by the window. We went to a bit of effort and dressed up, unlike the all male party of 10 on the next table, though they were a likeable and well behaved, probably very tired, group of coast path walkers.
Mrs M of 44 years is looking for sea glass, her favourite pastime on the shoreline. At Gorran Haven the Coast Path Community Café is especially recommended. Once it was the village reading room, then neglected for years. Now it is a thriving community hub and café, and snooker club. Also here is a house with outbuildings about to fall into the sea due to erosion. The householder has an I Voted to Remain poster in the garden.
We also met the magnificent Conrad again, whose blog is very informative, and readable, a tonic in these troubled times
