Metro bound

So Washington's metro (that's Washington, as in the capital of the US...) is falling apart. After several incidents last year (some of which cost lives), a decision has finally been made to give it a major 'do-over' that'll last a year or so and will rotate closings of entire sections for days or weeks at a time, and 'single-tracking' on other sections. Road traffic under normal circumstances is bad enough but now, it's a complete mess -- in addition to the usual influx of clueless tourists on the road. Glad I don't have to fight through rush hours anymore :)
