family day

Another lovely day. A lazy morning playing with the grandchildren, then out to a very nice Italian restaurant in Edinburgh's city centre for a long lunch, my sister and all her family, myself and most of mine. 
Then we said goodbye to the bride and groom who went off to pack for their honeymoon in Thailand and Malaysia.
Me and mine then went for a wander around the Scottish National Museum - very interesting and a beautiful building. We walked back to the apartment through Edinburgh's stately and bustling streets, saw the castle, a little outdoor market, a marquee with live music ... lots going on. 
This evening my sister and her youngest, Alina and her boyfriend joined us for wedding cake and prosecco. We sat up chatting for hours. 
It has been really amazing to see each other but over too soon ....
