out of place

today l went to the 'antique' centre, with a friend, to look for a hall table and/or TV unit. I was no help as l was constantly put off track by leather hippos with plastic teeth and glass eyes (odd!), strange vases, metal containers with no apparent use etc. etc. etc. AND this - - - it was huge and hung high on the wall so that l could not decide whether it was wood or leather but l could not think of ANYONE wanting it in their house ANYWHERE. I like the french word 'brocante' and their was certainly a lot of brocante about. (but it was fun)
