The Old Road, Roshven

I wasn't looking forward to this part of this survey. A long narrow corridor through dense scrub had us constantly resorting to hand saw pruning to get lines of sight, instrument to target.
We had gales and driving rain but strangely at this spot there was no movement in the air and the midges were hellish.
We will be working higher up the hill in more open terrain tomorrow and if the clouds climb a little we will be rewarded with a stunning view west towards Rum and Eigg. Fingers crossed.

Anyway in this picture a wee shaft of light came from somewhere like a spot lamp and illuminated this clump of foliage and shamrock
