Helvellyn Ridges

Early morning sunshine across Patterdale to the ridges of Helvellyn, Nethermost Pike and Dollywagon Pike.  After yesterdays storms it was a bit cooler today and much better for walking, even at my geriatric pace.  

Been testing my dodgy left leg this week.  After 5 years of treatment and physio for ruptured tendons it has held up pretty well.  Still hurts like buggery but I have learned how to stifle the screams and control the tears.  I no longer go arse over tit  base over apex on the downhill sections.  I suppose that's an improvement.  Next week I may try one of the  Karakorams.  I haven't done an 8000m peak for ages.
