next year already?

i've got work booked for the start of next year (company insanity permitting) and am already thinking about the hol i'm hoping to have in minneapolis around march-april...

i did a couple of calenders for friends overseas this year - it's been a while since i got them calenders ;-) and i've never been able to show off my photos like this before! my mother saw them and promptly commissioned another three (i hope she likes them, i had to pick all the shots myself and we're not as alike in taste as i sometimes think we are). finally got them today - two are a set of scenes from northumberland and a set of trees/flowers; mostly non-blips actually.

it'd be nice to think they'd be admired and praised, but i've learned that people rarely offer the reaction to a gift that you'd like them to and that many people look at photos and just think 'nice, but i could do that' even when you know damn fine they couldn't take a picture if their life depended on it.

still, i like them. and tho i'm not sure what i'd do with this many calenders, or some of the other things i've gifted this year, if anyone doesn't like it they can give it back!
