It is Friday

Wales and France were great but good to be back at Burgundy's.  And especially as it was the Freddie Garner (on keyboards) Quartet.  On his right is Jim Collins and both these had travelled over 80 miles to entertain us and also to play jazz - their first joy - maybe! The others were Dave Turner (bass) from Manchester and Phil Bennett on drums. 

And good to catch up with the jazz devotees - who has been where, how well are the carrots growing, a grant to reconstruct the remains of the last wolf found in Cumbria, the sad news that Vinny has had another stroke, progress with "Le Tour" etc
And great beers and so much enjoyed sketching these two too.
And I came away with a lovely bunch of beetroot and a bottle of wine!
