just peachy

Our peach tree is old and diseased, and has not had fruit for a few years. Then this spring our Home Owners Association decided to trim it up, and lo and behold it is bearing big peaches! And even more surprising, the birds and squirrels have not eaten the fruit (yet).
I had taken a photo focusing on the fruit, but who can resist such a handsome red house finch!
