Fascinating thistle...

Having an evening walk in Harrogate Valley Gardens, I decided to change my blip today to this wonderful prickly specimen. 

I have, so far, not managed to identify the particular thistle, so I eventually chose a slightly abstract view of the plant.

I've also added a couple of extra versions, one in mono to emphasise the geometric patterns and the other of a different part of the plant.
