Green-veined White on Oregano
I set off to go to the Severn Valley Railway, this morning but, when I found the road ahead blocked by an accident, I diverted and went back to Pipe Hall Woods instead. I had good views of a jay, a green woodpecker and a buzzard but the butterflies were limited to meadow browns, ringlets and small skippers.
I returned home to continue my butterfly watch on our buddleia as last evening we had a fleeting visit from a Hummingbird Hawk Moth but I did not have my camera to hand. No luck yet but I shall keep watching. We have, however, had a Small Tortoiseshell on it today.
I decided to use this Green-veined White for my blip. It settled on our oregano and seemed to be enjoying it. The Small Tortoiseshell and the buzzard are in the extras.
