The Grey Heron

Another warm day but not wall to wall blue sky.  

This heron is a regular morning visitor to Elie beach when the tide is out and there are plenty of exposed rocks and pools.

The extra photo is the closest I will ever get to taking a selphie.  I managed to take a quick photo of this Common Red Soldier Beetle as it landed on my arm.

Home tomorrow for a couple of weeks to catch up with friends, do some gardening and start thinking about my holiday to Portugal in the middle of August.
