Heavenly Torch

Today is my sisters birthday and also her 25th (Silver) wedding anniversary, and mom and dad will be celebrating their 50th (Golden) wedding anniversary at the weekend (4th Aug). Marital milestone to be proud of!

The folks are going to the Isle of Man tomorrow so won't be having a 'do' to celebrate (though we have bought them a fab weekend away later this month to La Rosa Hotel in Whitby) and my sister is having a get together with family and friends on Saturday, so something to look forward to!

It's super busy at work at the moment with lots of demands on my time and attention. Preparations for the installation of new technology and centralisation of staff are high on the agenda, and big transformational projects like this usually go hand in hand with lots of office politics. Some individuals are very frustrating for me at the moment and my hand is beginning to twitch with the need to slap them over the head and shout 'get a grip', but alas I would be fired if I did so!
