Juvenile Moorhen

Not on ice as it first appears.But Very shallow water over mud!  lol 
  The Moorhen would have been better off walking,than trying to swim?
The water in this one section of the Horse Shoe Moat was the section that English Heritage relined! And it leeks like a sieve.
   It needs a large delivery of clay and some volunteers to reinstate it to it's former glory.Problem is.The springs that fed it for many 100's of years.Have been diverted and piped away during building work.So the clay would possibly crack and leak as well?
