one day in France

Evening at the Creperie at the Grottes de Matata

I was feeling a lot better today, and we had previously booked to go out, so I was happy to go as I haven't left the house all week, except to go to the dentist and pharmacy!
We went somewhere I had never even heard of, the Grottes de Matata! It's in Meschers, on the coast, in the Gironde estuary opposite the Medoc, and it seems to be caves in the rock! The entrance comprises of numerous steps down, which lead to a hotel and Creperie, and our friend Norrie, from French classes was playing with his blues band!
We had a very nice evening, nice food and wine, lots of our friends were there, and we had no idea that Norrie (in the white and pink shirt) was such an amazing singer! He's also 84 years old I'm told. We had a fab evening and there was even a beautiful sunset.
