The Higgs boson song

The last day of our HST program... It's been amazing and unforgettable. In the morning we had more amazing presentations by workgroups. The afternoon started with a Q&A with the director general of CERN, Fabiola Gianotti; followed by a group photo and sparkling wine as one of our HST group was the 10.000th teacher to be trained.
The last official activity in a lecture room was to receive our certificates and a goodie bag. The course was closed of by a farewell dinner (it should have been a barbecue, but thunderstorms prevented an outdoor event).
This is during the dinner when Sam sang her Higgs boson song. During the dinner the news of the shooting came through... The last 3 weeks have been amazing and unforgettable, to all of the participants it proved that international collaboration is amazing and far preferred above the violence that has is around us. Unfortunately it is now time to leave the CERN 'bubble' and go back to the real world. Thankfully the knowledge, but above all the friendships made will last a life time...
