Meanings......

.....in spades. Many will have eaten Red Snapper, happily unaware of an alternative meaning to the word "Snapper." 
In Royal Marine parlance a Snapper is a chap who prefers chaps.
Many years ago I used the term freely; now, with relatives who are Lesbian and male Homosexual, I consider myself if not free from the denigration I once knew, at least 99% more tolerant than I was. 

Ignorance breeds fear; knowledge breeds confidence. (Or should that now read tolerance)

7 years and 11 months ago I was asked by Elaine what I would do if our newly born grandson is Gay. I replied honestly, "Love him with every bit of my being."
