Testing the water

The paddling pool has now been deployed.  It isn't a huge pool - especially when CyclopsJnr insisted MrsCyclops sit in it with him - but it is certainly fun.

These swimming shorts were purchased specially with the beach or paddling pool in mind, but soon after this photo was taken CyclopsJnr started to complain that they were wet and no explanations were enough to persuade him to keep them on.  So, paddling proceeded unclothed for CyclopsJnr.  Noting that MrsCyclops was also wet (whilst she was sitting in the pool) CyclopsJnr kept kindly bringing her a towel.  Again, he didn't accept the explanation that she was supposed to be wet and no towel was needed!
