Cow Parsley
Anthriscus sylvestris, known as cow parsley, wild chervil, wild beaked parsley, keck, or Queen Anne's lace, is a herbaceous biennial or short-lived perennial plant in the family Apiaceae, genus Anthriscus.
Today we went to Hurley and had a wonderful picnic by the lock. Toes in the Thames amongst other summer treats were followed by a wander around in Pinkney's woods to kill an hour or so before heading home. Cow Parsley is in full bloom at the moment and normally I'd not give it much attention only as a child when we used to crawl through it playing war. Anyway it looks great close up with a much more complex structure to its flower than you'd give it credit.
Now to celebrate some other good news received today with an H.Upmann Magnum 50 during which I shall also cast my mind to a good friend lost who is being celebrated elsewhere this evening.
