Lace demonstrating

Domestic tasks completed before 10:30 today,, car loaded and off to Dogmersfield village fete. Each year North Downs Lacemakers are invited to display and demonstrate the members lace in their craft tent. This is an event that is represented well by the village, both young and old. Held at a farm in the village, it also has a classic car and motorbike display as well as the traditional produce/competition marquee. Punch & Judy, tombola, raffle, bric-a-brac, charity stalls and stalls for the young (coconut shy, guess how many sweets etc) although older members enjoying these too. Also had a sheep dog display herding geese.

The weather today made our craft marquee VERY hot - a welcome breeze occasionally was wonderful!

A long but enjoyable day. :)
