A Fool

I would like to say something,
Something that is funny.
Something of worth,
And not requiring money.

I'd like to speak,
Something like honey.
Something that is sweet,
Not oozing and runny.

Some little strain,
That's like a ditty.
A few little words,
That sound a bit witty.

I'd like to be giggly,
And a little more silly.
A happy little soul,
And a little like Willy.

If I could be these,
And had me a stool.
I'd be nothing more,
Than a genuine fool.

Glass mosaic stepping stone made by Leslie Miller for her son, Joe. It's a high compliment, and a reminder to slow it on down.
