first day in Battambang, on the Bamboo train.

This train system was set up during the Khmer Rouge lunacy. Basically a bamboo crate on wheels with an old boat engine. It meant that the small villages had some form of efficient transport. it is now mainly a tourist attraction and is apparently going to be shut down soon... can't imagine why.
