Tears in the morning

Another glorious morning at the summer cottage. Took the usual morning walk to "lake tranquility" (see blip on July 21). No clouds when I started around 6:45 but some when I returned around 8:00, and went for a swim in the lake.

Seeing the dew on the leaves, as this alder's leaf, made me hum the Beach Boys classic. As dew is a happy thing, I think these must be tears of joy. The drops are of varying size, filling the whole surface of the leaf.
