......Ooh I say...............

The Daughter hosted a house warming BBQ this afternoon for family and friends........the S &H and family,......Uncle Rob & Sue...........Therese......D & V......and B (S couldn't come)..........oh.......and Me!

The weather did it's best to ruin the afternoon...but skillful use of a gazebo and several golf umbrella's ensured we all defied the weather and ate al fresco. The S & H....... took charge of the barbie, the Daughter handled the accompaniments and drinks........gifts were brought.....food was eaten, drink was taken, conversation flowed, laughs, smiles, Charlotte and Hannah on a charm offensive.........a grand tour.Helen would have loved it.

Every one agreed she had bought a lovely house...........she had decorated and furnished it well........and she had hosted a wonderful afternoon.

The only fly in the ointment was this blip...........dessert was cheese cake.or strawberry trifle..........shop bought for ease. When the Daughter opened one of the boxes the cheese cake had this interesting "motif" slap bang in the centre............the trifle and the other cheese cake went down well............but nobody seemed very keen on this one..............I wonder why?
