Red Leaf

My rose bush leaves have turned burgundy red and new buds are starting to appear. I am so relieved my beloved rose bush survived the recent hot weather and pruning it back appears to have done the trick.

Hot weather, humidity, lack of watering (except for the village dogs tinkling), ant infestation and it's still going strong!

Tomorrow I'll be purchasing some new compost and giving it some nutrients to help give the rose bush a boost.
