Is it coz I'z bent?

The road through Crookes is windy. Turning at spooner road, rosalind road, right at the grindstone, and a few more twists before it runs into northfield road, I think, at the brow of the hill.
Otherwise, it might have been named because it was a den of iniquity!
Or maybe a shepherd's gathering place.
Any other suggestions on a postcard, to me, in Crookes.
