Refreshing

The last few days of radio silence are as the result of a frantic few days packing  up and then travelling north. The weekend has involved two family parties.. on Saturday was a wonerful gathering of my husbands extended family which encompassed getting first, second and third cousins together under one roof .. we were missing a few but given that the two sides of the family have barely met l think lots of new friendships and bonds have been made.. 37 adults and about 10 children 
Sunday involved a family party on my side.. a christening of my latest but one great nephew who l had not met until today.  What a lovely day it has been.. smiley happy children, each one bonnier than the last and a delicious lunch with all my favourite people.. (you know who you are :) )
Now the parties are over for a while l find myself this evening in my favourite place and walking on the beach.. it has rained most of the day but as l was out walking the clouds took on a little bit of colour and when l turned to see where Flossie had got to l saw this wonderful sight.. l hope you enjoy it as much as l did.
The lovely thing about being so busy is that l have not heard any news or seen and tv or been on the internet once... l can highly recommend it for a few days. Recently the world news has been so miserable and full of horror that it has been a huge relief to switch off for a bit l might just carry on for a few more days...
