Your turn next...
Sailing on Sundays continues, and slowly, steadily, but surely Mrs G and I are 'getting it'. We are both rigging the boat, launching, landing, tacking, and today was Mrs G's turn to do the dreaded controlled gybe. Which she did perfectly. And we both remained dry once again, which is a bonus.
So now we just have to put it all together, which we have kind of been doing as we go, and then it's time for assessement I guess, and then we just keep practising, getting more experience and having fun on the water.
This also means we can get the kids out to have some fun in the boats too, which was half of the goal, and seeing as they both love the water, I can only imagine they'll love it once they get in control of their own sails.
Here's Mrs G and the eldest out on the jetty, and you may well imagine that she's telling him that crossing the reservoir comes first, then we move on to the Atlantic. But actually I think that he may just be showing her what pokémon are hiding out in the water.
Fair winds and following seas my friends.
Night night :)
