The life & times of Jacks

Not Corn

Of course it is not corn! You know when you can't quite get the word out and you say the wrong one - I called this corn when I meant wheat!

Steve and I did some housey/workey stuff this morning after which we headed into a place called Pitstone to visit a pretty old windmill there. This was still almost structurally sound but just not functional. It was an amazing place to visit. The fields nearby, not surprisingly, grew a lot of wheat - clearly on hand to be ground up into flour or feed for animals when the mill was operational.

Drove around and looked at a little village church before deciding it was getting a bit to chilly & rainy and heading home.

It has felt like a decent length weekend so far- ask me again tomorrow at 6pm if I feel the same though!
