Parc de la Tête d'Or, Lyon

Today Wifi took me for a guided tour of Lyon. We started on the team then the metro and our first port of call was the zoo. We saw zebra, alligators, monkeys, pelicans,  flamingos, bison, gazelles, turtles, deer, panthers, lion and giraffes to name but a few. All milling around (safely!) in the park. Amazing.

We enjoyed pizza for lunch and then headed to the Basilica at Fourviere. Unfortunately it had started to rain at this point so the view over the city was rather dull.

More walking and sights then home for a meal with some lovely people from her parent's church. I understood the conversations about dogs quite well because one of the couples had just got 2 puppies. Other than that, it was quite challenging to spend the evening trying to piece conversations together and sound semi intelligent talking in school French of 32 years ago!!!
