Kate's Birthday

(It would have been her 90th.)

Sadly she didn't make it but I still open a bottle of the fizzy stuff in her memory each year at the table on the lawn where we shared so many laughs, and I am sure that if there is an after life she must have been chuckling as she watched me trying to transfer the lively liquid from bottle to glass, as captured by a good neighbour who was her friend and a guest in previous years.
