Bath Abbey

It's a long time since last I went into Bath Abbey rather than wandering around the exterior - in fact I was probably living in Bath at the time which places it about forty years ago! The golden glow of the Bath sandstone is exquisite, and the walls are covered with memorial plaques to some august departed or another. The columns end in the most delightful mushroom effect which makes one feel very Alice.
