A Little Birdie Told Me

...that if you try to take a picture of me today, far away in the ocotillo, I promise it will be in focus.  I have consistently tried over the years to nab one  sitting up there and have ended up deleting every last one.  This Anna's hummingbird not only cooperated but showed me her purple throat.  How about that for being nice to me today?!

I want to thank everyone for their thoughtful comments a couple of days ago concerning both mom's and my well-being.  I've been finding it a bit difficult to sleep the last few nights.  Mom is basically getting old and frail. She is lacking energy and has difficulty with mobility.  Her vanishing memory makes me very sad.  But God bless her, she is hanging in there doing the best she can.
