Chantonbury Ring....

....was originally a hill fort but in 1760 Beech trees were planted within the bank of the fort.  After the storm of 1987 most were destroyed and the replanted trees are only beginning to restore the ring to its former glory.
Legend says, if you run round the trees 7 times (anti clockwise), the Devil appears and will offer you a bowl of soup in exchange for your soul!!!
