Gyosei Art Trail
This wonderful mosaic is one of eight artworks on the newly opened Gyosei Art Trail in Milton Keynes. It commemorates the legacy of the Gyosei International School, a Japanese boarding school that closed in 2002. They can be found either side of the canal (between the H3 and H5 for those near the area) - well, we actually only found seven of them!!! I liked all the pieces, but the mosaic was my favourite. I also loved a dragonfly made from a shopping trolley and a steel shire horse such as used to haul barges in the past (I've only a few extras left, so I haven't added them).
The mosaic called Autumn Splendour has been created by Melanie Watts, a local artist, and is made of stunning glass pieces.
